Limelight is a new company specializing in modern event photo booths and on-site photoshoots for high school seniors. They needed a complete brand identity and marketing website that would help them quickly enter the market, stand out in a competitive field, and convert visitors into bookings.

Constraints

With a tight timeline of less than two weeks, I partnered directly with the business owner to conceptualize, design, and deliver everything from logo and brand assets to a lightweight, conversion-focused website.

Goals

  • Develop a brand logo, typography suite, and color palette
  • Deliver brand assets suitable for web, social, and print
  • Design an impactful marketing site optimized for conversion
  • Integrate the client’s CRM booking and intake flows
  • Build a lightweight site optimized for SEO and speed
  • Ensure accessibility and strong mobile performance

Brand Design & Development

I started by creating initial logo concepts that balanced Limelight’s playful, energetic vibe with a clean, professional edge. Working closely with the client, we refined the mark into a simple, modern identity that scales across digital and print.

From there, I built out the full brand system:

  • Typography suite for both digital and print use
  • Color palette with a fresh, vibrant green and pink as the centerpiece
  • Print-ready assets for flyers, social, and event signage

This system allowed Limelight to launch not just with a website, but with a cohesive identity across all channels.

Website Design & Development

The site was designed to be lightweight, fast, and look good. I focused on clear calls to action and user-friendly booking flows to support conversion. Integration with the client’s CRM ensured that inquiries and bookings feed seamlessly into their workflow.

Accessibility and performance were also top priorities. The site is fully responsive, quick-loading, and built with SEO best practices to support search visibility.

Taking the Opportunity to Try New Tech

Because the client needed a small site without frequent updates, I recommended building it as a fully static website. This approach kept the site efficient, fast, and easy to maintain, while allowing me to quickly hand-author new pages as the business grows.

I used the static site generator Astro to power the build. Astro made it straightforward to combine performance-focused static HTML with the flexibility to create custom layouts for future marketing campaigns and one-off event pages.

Results

The launch of the Limelight brand and website was paired with a targeted Google Ads campaign. Within the first two months, the site helped secure six new bookings. The new brand identity and website also generated attention beyond the client’s immediate goals — I received two new project requests directly as a result of the work.

Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive: the site not only reflects Limelight’s energy and professionalism, but also is working as an effective sales tool.
